Dr. Sargur N. Srihari is known in forensics for developing a software system used globally by document examiners and for establishing a scientific technique in handwriting individuality assessment. This led to the acceptance of courtroom testimony on handwriting analysis. Dr. Srihari is a professor at the University of Buffalo. He has served on a National Academy of Sciences forensic science committee. Dr. Srihari earned his doctorate in computer and information science from Ohio State University.
